March Observing Report

Firstly the weather has interrupted a lot of my viewing and imaging opportunities. Before I knew it British Summer Time is upon us. This spells the end of my imaging on a night before work and is restricted to weekends only. I did manage my first reasonable image of the Pleiades (7 sisters) revealing a hint of nebulosity that is so hard to image. I also attempted the Bubble Nebula with a whole load of 90 second exposures which still hardly revealed any detail worthy of uploading. Its proving to be a very tough target for DSLR imaging. At the very end of the month I managed to image M97 'The Owl Nebula'. I'm looking forward to the spring period when there are many galaxies ideally positioned in the sky. This will really test the power of my scope.
