June Observing Report

June highlights... erm, got the scope out to look at the low moon for a while on 14th then put it away again. No really... thats about it

The scopes are having their annual rest in the shed this month. A frustrating time of year for astronomers. Its a common time to get any of those telescope maintenance jobs done. The sun never sets more than 16 degrees below the horizon throughout June (even at 1am). As a result, the sky never reaches true darkness. The sky does not even get past twilight until at least 11:30pm. Things are slow to improve during July also

What can i say.. roll on August!
