Canon S30

Canon S30 and t-piece adapter

For most of my moon photography so far I have used this method using my Canon S30 compact digital camera. It is attached to the eyepiece using a specially designed adapter. Photo's are then taken using eyepiece projection (camera takes a picture of whats seen in the eyepiece).

I take off the canon lens, and basically replace it with the telescope as a lens by using an adapter to hold it in to place.
