The crescent moon hanging out nearby the seven sisters (Pleiades) in Taurus taken on 08th April 2008.
On 19th May 2007 there was another fine conjunction of the crescent moon and brilliant Venus. You may notice in the second picture you can see two other stars namely Pollux and Castor, they are brightish stars belonging to the constellation of Gemini.
On 21st March the crescent moon was accompanied by brilliant Venus over St Mary's Church, Bridgwater. Notice in this picture how no other stars can possibly be seen due to the twilight.
